    Guy Carpenter Reinsurance Operations are changing the way we work globally & seek business facing candidates for a Lead Business Analyst, who, ideally can work out of our London office.

  • As a Lead Business Analyst, you will help us deliver new and improved Reinsurance products for our Broker clients.

    Highly business facing, you will play a critical role in translating business strategies and objectives into business requirements.

    With responsibility for identifying, verifying, and documenting functional requirements using Requirements Management methodology and tools.

    Investigate, designing, and documenting "as is" and "to be" business processes, ensuring a clear understanding of requirements within the development community.

    You will have the freedom to make valuable contributions of the team, helping us evolve best practice and delivering the strategic roadmap for the key technology capabilities within MMC.

    What you need to have:

  • Working experience in or knowledge of the Reinsurance broking market.
  • Strong, practical IT project experience working as a BA, Lead or Senior Business Analyst.
  • Very strong communication, negotiation, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in building engaging relationships with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Practical, current experience with Agile methodologies.
  • What makes you stand out:

  • Understanding of treaty and or facultative reinsurance
  • Knowledge of or practical experience with the MERN tech stack.
  • Experience with compliance and data regulations, such as GDPR, NYDFS, etc.
  • Agile or Project Management certifications.
  • Experience with documenting requirements in Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO) and Confluence
  • We will rely on you to:

  • Translate business strategies and objectives into clear and concise business requirements.
  • Provide traceability of business requirements to IT solutions and ensure system testing encompasses existing capabilities of the solution as well as future function point requirements.
  • Identify, verify, and document functional requirements using Requirements Management methodology and tools.
  • Identify data elements and provide data mappings/dictionaries.
  • Investigate, design, redesign, and document "as is" and "to be" business processes.
  • Ensure the development community has a clear and complete understanding of the requirements.
  • Conduct and facilitate acceptance tests for solutions with the user community, including the development of UAT test scenarios and test scripts.
  • Develop, deliver, and evaluate training and supplemental materials.
  • Conduct and examine feasibility studies/impact assessments regarding the implementation of IT solutions against current state parameters (process, application use-cases, and non-functional impact).
  • Partner with Business/IT to define and manage the scope with each release.
