    We are offering a competitive inclusive salary range of £48,998 - £58,790 per annum.

    Job Profile

    The Patient Safety and Compliance Lead will be responsible for promoting patient safety across The London Clinic. Supporting the Head of Patient Safety and Compliance and the Chief Nurse, you will play a significant role in implementing national and local initiatives and improvements and enhancing a proactive patient safety culture. You will also actively support the Patient Safety Strategy and Vision, through continuous leadership across groups of staff, to inform the patient safety and quality improvements. The role will also involve;

    • Supporting the Head of Patient Safety and Compliance in ensuring patient safety processes are robust in the organisation, acting early on to identify patient safety issues and review for regulatory requirements.
    • Working with the Head of Patient Safety and Compliance to ensure preparedness for implementation of the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) in May 2024, and continuing to monitor PSIRFs developmental roll out.
    • Overseeing the day to day response to incidents. Triaging in incidents early on through the incident management system. Communicating with the handlers to ensure correct categorisation, gathering information regarding incidents ready for further escalation, and Initiating the 72-hour reporting framework using the multi-disciplinary team.
    • Acting on knowledge and experience to ensure where necessary relevant stakeholders are collaborated with.
    • Adjustments to the incident management system are managed early on for data cleansing and accurate data reporting.
    • Using best interest decision making to ensure incidents are reviewed early on and correct action is taken to respond in the most appropriate way, taking the patients safety into account.

    Skills & Experience

    • Registered General Nurse or Healthcare Professional.
    • Ideally post-graduate in clinical or healthcare governance, or evidence of continuing professional development
    • Experience within a governance or patient safety role within a clinical setting, including the management of incidents and events.
    • Experience of driving patient safety and the associated strategies.
    • Knowledge of health services and the delivery of health care.
    • Understanding and knowledge of root cause analysis investigations.
    • Experience of training staff.
