Our client is a London-based Law firm where people are committed to achieving the goals of listed and private companies, institutions, and individuals.

Our experience encompasses corporate, commercial litigation and arbitration, employment and pensions,finance, marine and international trade and real estate.

They are now looking to hire a Management Accountant to join the accounts team on a permanent basis.

The accounts team is made up of several sections:
management accounts; purchase ledger; partnership accounting; credit control; cashiering and billing.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly Management Accounts
  • Monthly review of Practice Group performance and investigating variances
  • Business partnering with practice group and practice area leaders. Providing financial analysis, answering queries and providing commercial insight and commentary where relevant.
  • Assisting with the London annual budgeting and forecasting process. Providing support to both Practice Group Leaders and the Heads of Business Services during the process.
  • Preparation of monthly and annual cash flow forecasts
  • Intercompany billing and account reconciliations
  • Assist with the preparation of LLP's tax computation and PAYE Settlement Agreement schedules
  • Reviewing the London office bank and petty cash reconciliations
  • Authorisation of supplier invoices, staff expense claims and bank payments
  • Preparation of bank covenant calculations
  • Providing figures to assist the annual partner appraisal process
  • Assisting with the testing and development of new financial reports
  • Preparation of quarterly & annual legal surveys and National Statistics reports
  • Preparation of ad hoc management information
  • Experience of preparing monthly management accounts
  • Strong excel skills
  • A flexible, professional and proactive attitude
  • Able to use own initiative and challenge work practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and excellent team player
  • Be flexible to do any additional hours when necessary to meet task deadlines
  • Qualified or part qualified accountant.
