DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Experience, knowledge of mixology, top
presentation, ambition, zero pretension - this is what we are looking for in
our bartenders.

The Bartender must be impeccable in all
areas of activity - cocktails, cleanliness of their bar station, guest
relation, speech and presentation.

Cocktails

● Learn the cocktails on the menu and the list of
classic cocktails provided. Understand and know about the products used.

● Prepare and serve high-quality cocktails,
respecting our basic rules: use of jiggers at all times, perfectly measured,
clean bar tools, swift response time. All while adhering to our principle of
aiming to provide the best drinking experience without a hint of pretension.

● Communicate to the servers and barbacks their
needs well in advance.

● Participate in the creation of the cocktail
menu.

Guest Relations

● Greet and interact with guests.

● In cooperation with the Servers, ensure that the
client is seated, provided with a menu, and thoroughly taken care of from that
point forward.

● If the server is absent for whatever reason, the
bartender nonetheless ensures that the clients' needs are covered.

● Create a welcoming environment for guests,
assess their needs, present the cocktails menu and make recommendations.

● Take drinks orders.

Cleanliness,
opening and closing of the bar

● Be responsible for the opening and the closing
of the bar, following the procedural list, from the set-up to taking out the
rubbish at the end of the evening, and everything in between.

● The opening and closing duties are part of a
collective effort from all team members, as is the cleanliness of the bar
throughout the entire service.

● Apply all food and beverage safety and quality
regulations.

Communication
& Reporting

● Communicate with the Bar Manager for inventory
issues, client comments, and general reporting.

● Comply with all reasonable direction and/or
requests from the Management Team.

● Experience in a similar role.

● Have excellent spirits
& classic cocktails knowledge.

● Attention to details and customer
needs.

● Social, engaging and motivated.

● Flexibility to respond quickly and
positively to a range of work situations.

● Be well spoken with excellent
communication skills.

● Knowledge as well as abilities in
other languages would be beneficial.

● Proof of eligibility to work in the
UK.

The Experimental Group
was founded in 2007 by three childhood friends, Olivier Bon, Pierre-Charles
Cros, and Romée de Goriainoff. Xavier Padovani later joined them and shared

Acquired by the Experimental Group in 2022,
Cowley Manor is entering the next chapter of its life. The property is
home to 36 bedrooms complemented by a spa, restaurant, cocktail lounge,
library, mudroom and plentiful living rooms. The property features a postcard
landscape of rolling hills and sheep dotted in the distance spread across
55 acres of idyllic countryside.

The refurbished design by Dorothée Meilichzon
has taken inspiration from each chapter of Cowley Manor's book, weaving
together classical inspiration with contemporary elements across each of
the estate's bedrooms. A sort of joyeux bordel, a happy mess.

The new restaurant and cocktail bar at Cowley
Manor is a place to celebrate a milestone, or simply enjoy a wonderful meal.
Local produce will be at the forefront, highlighting some of Gloucestershire's finest
offerings. The spa features treatments such as relaxing massages, facials
and more. gym, indoor or outdoor pool.
