Description

Are you ambitious, motivated and have a passion for improving the outcomes for pupils with SEND? Would you love the opportunity to develop teachers, without school-level responsibility? If so, we have an amazing opportunity for you.

We are delighted to be able to recruit two Cluster SEND Leads to work in our West cluster, working with both individual schools and the West cluster as a whole.

The Cluster SEND Leads will devise and deliver effective inclusive practice, with a particular focus on the strategic development of SEND provision in schools.

With no class-based responsibility, you will work with the Director of Education and the wider Education Improvement Team to raise the progress and attainment of pupils with SEND in all schools.

Working with senior leaders in our schools you will ensure that the provision for pupils with SEND is strong.

This will look different across our schools, with some of our smallest schools having you as the named SENCO, with additional administrative support provided.

You will be an excellent teacher with senior SEND experience, who can exemplify research-led SEND practice within the classroom, have great communication skills in order to support others in a professional manner, and be able to see next steps in teaching practice and support staff in achieving these.

The work within schools will be varied, with you providing coaching for staff members developing and delivering CPD for schools, supporting teaching assistants in enhancing their delivery, as well as working with the Educational Improvement Team on other projects.

The role is an exciting opportunity for strong teachers looking to move into a non-traditional educational leadership route in an ambitious trust that wants to have the best teachers in the country.

We can offer you:

  • Great opportunities for personal and professional growth
  • A range of CPD opportunities
  • A supportive Trust team, with strong pedagogical knowledge
  • An ambitious Trust who uses research and evidence in practical ways
  • The opportunity to enhance teaching without schoollevel responsibilities

  • Leadership skills to enable them to support and influence others
  • A positive outlook and a resilient nature
  • A commitment to developing their own, and others, practice as part of a team
  • The ability to see next steps in teaching and offer practical advice
  • A desire to learn and develop themselves
