- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using industry-standard tools and technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA analysts, and product managers, to define testing requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Design and execute automated test suites to validate software functionality, performance, and scalability.
- Identify and prioritize areas for automation within the software development lifecycle to improve testing efficiency.
- Investigate and troubleshoot software defects, documenting and tracking issues to resolution.
- Conduct root cause analysis for defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Perform manual testing as needed to supplement automated testing efforts and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
- Collaborate with QA analysts to define and execute manual test cases, as well as analyze test results and provide feedback to development teams.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in automation engineering and QA analysis, recommending improvements to testing processes and methodologies.
- Experience in software development and quality assurance roles.
- Proficiency in .NET Core/C# programming language.
- Strong API testing capabilities and advanced SQL knowledge.
- Experience in automating functional, regression, smoke, and performance testing using Selenium.
- Familiarity with Docker containers and cloud platforms for testing purposes, including Azure DevOps.
- Ideally, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Automation Engineer
OneFile, a leading educational software company, is seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer to join our team in Manchester City Centre on a hybrid-working basis. The successful candidate will be expected to work from the OneFile office a couple of times per month. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing automated testing solutions to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. The role also includes quality assurance (QA) analysis to identify and address software defects.
