Ringway are looking for an experienced Public Liaison Officer to join the team of the Milton Keynes business unit (BU) a Term Services Contract (TSC). The role will predominately be based on the Milton Keynes TSC, however there may be a requirement to travel between the operational depots.

This is a diverse role with key aspects including speaking to members of the public, businesses and stakeholders about the schemes we are delivering, supporting community and volunteering projects within the areas we are working
***
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships with relevant businesses and other stakeholders during works, including visiting properties and identifying any specific requirements that need to be accommodated**:

  • Set up communication lines with Service Information Centre to ensure passage of complaints is prompt so that issue can be quickly investigated and dealt with**:

Work closely with the Client and Site Team to ensure effective communication with all relevant parties, including the creation and distribution of information letters, flyers and progress reports**:


  • Liaise with Business and Performance Manager to understand the preferred approach to scheme communications and keep them informed of any public/stakeholder issues arising due to the scheme.**:

Support the production of external project communications (Newsletters Project website update, project social media updates)**:


  • To be a key point of contact for the public, local businesses and stakeholders for any scheme queries and concerns**:

Maintain a register of all comments, compliments and complaints received on our company database**:


  • Set up of site in line with the criteria for safety of onsite staff and visitors, erection of safety posters, information boards, site signage etc, and maintain on site information boards with information for the public**:

Participate in events such as school visits with our site teams, promoting career opportunities within the civil engineering industry**:


  • Represent Ringway at external employability and community events as required, e.g. careers fairs.*****
