About this opportunity:


Responsible for the day-to-day acquisition and media management of content for broadcasting or for the production process of news, sports and current affairs.

This could be handling MAM workflows, Lines Records, Content QC, operating AV media equipment and being a point of content for our clients and internal departments.


What you will do

  • Responsible for the daytoday acquisition and media management of content for broadcasting or for the production process of news, sports and current affairs. This could be handling MAM workflows, Lines Records, Content QC and being a point of content for our clients and internal departments.
  • Recording, ingesting, and handling media required by Playout, Compliance, Access Services, VOD and other clients in accordance with customer specifications and requirements.
  • Ensuring ingested media is ready for playout and the original technical quality of the media is not lost.
  • Collating, ingesting, transcoding, and handling media, operating all necessary equipment used to meet customer specifications and requirements.
  • Communicate with customer or 3rd party during production and inform colleagues in case of change of procedures. Agree with all other specific areas and functions as required.
  • Create daily incident reports and log in reporting tool, according to procedures. Write customer reports where appropriate.
  • Ensuring all associated media (metadata) such as subtitles, separate audio sources and invision sign language are correctly ingested onto server
  • To check Outside Source (OS) availability and record live incoming material (e.g., studios or outside broadcasts) to server for later playout.
  • To quality check material using relevant equipment and report faults where required, according to specific guidelines laid down by clients.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues and partner concern of faults to relevant teams. Undertake fault correction and simple edits as required.
