    Job Title: Interactive Software Developer (6 Month FTC)

    Salary: £40'000

    We seek a skilled candidate to design, develop, and implement an interactive tool that seamlessly integrates advanced natural language processing (NLP) capabilities. Key qualifications include experience with spaCy , text summarization , and proficiency in large language models, including ChatGPT APIs . The successful candidate will possess robust software development skills, enabling them to effectively demonstrate and apply algorithmic approaches. Additionally, familiarity with database structures , metadata extraction , and data visualization is essential.

    The role extends beyond technical expertise. The candidate must excel in browser-based UI design , ensuring the tool's accessibility and user-friendliness for non-technical users. A solid understanding of AI/ML approaches and practical experience addressing real-world challenges within specific domains is highly valued.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement core requirements.
  • Design and develop interactive tool that integrates and combines NLP capabilities such as; spaCy, Bart NLP, and ChatGTP API.
  • Implement database structures and utilise algorithms for metadata extraction.
  • Creation of a user-friendly UI that integrates relevant visualisation.
  • Test and debug software to ensure optimal performance and usability.
  • Ensuring the tool works on our cloud platform and is optimised for browser-based access.
  • Train non-technical users on how to use the software effectively.
  • Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • University degree in a related field.
  • Demonstratable experience in AI / ML, in the industry.
  • Proven experience developing interactive software applications.
  • Proven experience developing interactive software applications.
  • Advanced knowledge of natural language processing techniques and APIs.
  • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and SQL.
  • Experience with database structures, metadata extraction and browser-based UI design.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • The role is a 6-month Fixed Term Contract and the salary is £40'000.

    You will enjoy a 35-hour week and a hybrid working model which requires 50% of the working month based at the Theale office.

    Excellent working environment and 1 pm finish on a Friday
