A new, exciting opportunity has arisen within the Pharmacy Procurement team based at the Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital for a Senior Pharmacy Procurement Clerk.


You will be part of a small, dynamic pharmacy team responsible for the purchasing and supply of medicines for East Kent Hospitals University Foundation Trust with an annual medicines spend of around £80 million.

The pharmacy procurement team help ensure the right medicines are available for patients at the right time and right place and strive to ensure best value is achieved for the Trust whilst maintaining a safe and efficient supply.


  • To maintain the day to day running of the Pharmacy Procurement Office, including the purchasing and supply of pharmaceuticals to provide an efficient service to pharmacy staff and patients.
  • To cover for and/or assist and support the Deputy Medicines Procurement Lead and other Senior Pharmacy Procurement Clerks as required, appropriate to grade.
  • The Post holder will be expected to work as part of a team that covers a range of activities associated with stores, purchasing and office duties.
Training will be provided.
