    Description
    Tool Room Technician

    Salary:
    £33k (inclusive of shift pattern)
    Double Day Shift Pattern
    Week 1 – Monday to Thursday 6.00am to 2.00pm Friday 6.00am to 1.00pm
    Week 2 – Monday to Thursday 2.00pm to 10.00pm Friday 1.00pm to 8.00pm
    Role Overview
    The Tool Room Technician will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled tool overhauls in accordance with department procedures.

    They will also be responsible for training subordinates on basic tool repairs and providing engineering support to the Injection Moulding Department as needed.

    The successful candidate will ensure daily safety checks are completed on all tool room machinery and will be responsible for training new hires on relevant paperwork and procedures.

    Key Responsibilities
    Perform scheduled and unscheduled tool overhauls (D.C.A's) in accordance with department procedures
    Train subordinates on basic 'In House' tooling repairs
    Provide engineering support to the Injection Moulding Department at the request of the Injection Moulding Manager
    Ensure daily safety checks of all tool room machinery are carried out and appropriate check sheets are completed
    Train new hires on all DCA's and relevant paperwork
    Essential Qualifications and Skills
    Experience in manual machining including laith, miller, and surface grinding
    Proficiency in using manual and digital measuring equipment
    Desirable Qualifications and Skills
    Previous experience in a toolroom environment
    Experience with CNC machining
    Proficiency in AutoCAD software
    Experience with EDM machining (manual/CNC)
