Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM

Contract:
September July 2024

Salary:
£20 - £40 per hour DOE

Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation of scientists? Do you possess a deep understanding of secondary level science curriculum and pedagogy? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for an Intervention Tutor to join a dedicated team at a well-respected secondary school in Oldham.

Role and Responsibilities:

Conducting targeted intervention sessions in small group and onetoone settings to help students overcome challenges in science.
Delivering engaging and tailored lessons that align with the curriculum, focusing on areas where students require additional support.
Tracking and assessing students' progress, adapting your teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.
Collaborating with the science department to identify specific learning needs and tailor intervention plans accordingly.
Providing constructive feedback to students and maintaining open communication with teachers, parents, and guardians.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) equivalent within the UK or a relevant qualification within Science.
Indepth knowledge of the secondary level science curriculum and a passion for sharing your expertise with students.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
Experience working in an educational setting, preferably with a focus on intervention and support.
Dedication to student success, with a patient and empathetic approach to teaching.
