    We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistants in Ashton under-Lyne who are passionate about their job, enjoy delivering one to one support and who can build positive relationships with our service users and their families.

    Meet our service user

    Our service user is a gentleman in his 60s who lives with his wife in Ashton under Lyne and requires assistance throughout the day and night on a 1:1 basis to support his complex care needs.

    At home he enjoys listening to audio books, watching TV dramas such as police action and border patrol and spending time engaging with his wife and care team. He is also involved in the MND support club for his local area which he thoroughly enjoys.

    Our ideal care team will show patience and understanding and have effective communication skills to understand and interpret his needs and wants.

    Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team

    Main duties of the job

    Throughout the day you will provide support with his personal care, moving and handling, attending to his clinical care needs when required and assisting him to enjoy his hobbies and interests.

    Throughout the night you will provide support with his personal care, moving and handling, clinical observations and attending to his clinical care needs when required. You will provide a peaceful environment to promote a restful nights sleep, offering reassurance and comfort when needed.

    We have the following shifts available;

  • Part Time
  • Days: 8:30am - 5:30pm
  • Nights: 11pm - 8am
  • Take a look at our pay rates

    Weekdays: £ per hour (Approx. £ per 9 hour shift)

    Weeknights: £ per hour (Approx. £ per 9 hour shift)

    Weekends: £ per hour (Approx. £126 per 9 hour shift)

    Bank Holidays: £ per hour (Approx. £ per 9-hour shift)

    Job responsibilities

    The role of a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) is to work without direct supervision in the home of the service user providing care and support including personal, social, and domestic support whilst adhering to the service users individual care and support plan.

    The aim of the position is to enable service users to remain safely in their own home with as much independence as possible.

    Alongside providing care and support in a professional, discreet, and caring manner, always ensuring the service users right to privacy and dignity is maintained
