    Wood Machinist/Bench Joiner | Boroughbridge, York | Full Time - 40 hour week Monday to Thursday 8.00 – 17.00 with an early finish on Friday, | £25,500 - £27,000 depending on experience

    With over 30 years of experience, they are a manufacturing company based near Boroughbridge, just off the A1. At the heart of their operation is a commitment to creating bespoke, high-quality products for a diverse range of clients, including schools, sports facilities, healthcare centres, and more.

    As a Wood Machinist/Bench Joiner, you'll play a crucial role in producing bespoke goods to customer specifications. From operating production equipment to assembling kits and crafting unique pieces from engineering drawings, attention to detail and a desire for perfection are paramount.

    Are you the right person for the job?

    • Experience with CNC machines, specifically Homag & SCM
    • Proficiency in WoodWop and Maestro software for CNC programming
    • Knowledge of common panel production machinery (beam saw, edgebander, etc.)
    • Physical fitness to carry products
    • NVQ L2 or equivalent in Bench Joinery
    • Valid driver's licence
    • Forklift licence is desirable but not essential
    • Strong communication skills

    What will your role look like?

    • Operate a variety of production equipment following company procedures
    • Assemble kits and craft bespoke products from engineering drawings
    • Conduct regular equipment checks and maintenance
    • Collaborate with the team on new product development and prototyping
    • Ensure adherence to company production and assembly standards
    • Maintain a tidy and safe workspace
    • Write and modify programs for production and design changes
    • Backup standard programs regularly to the server

    What can you expect in return?
