Overview of project/role
Systems & Infrastructure (S&I) assets are changed, modified and renewed on a regular basis.

The job holder will manage the implementation of asset data changes for the existing and any replacement, acting as gate-keeper to maintenance data and schedules, ensuring changes meet business requirements in a timely manner.

The job holder will also provide governance and assurance concerning maintenance data and support the development and implementation of data improvement plans.


Key Accountabilities

  • Act as the principle point of contact for all changes to S&I asset data to ensure consistency and minimum data requirements are met.
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to manage new asset data, to ensure that it meets the maintenance team needs.
  • Champion data improvement initiatives, including managing an audit schedule, to benchmark asset data quality.
  • Work with Stakeholders to define minimum data requirements and agree changes to the asset hierarchy formed within the asset management system.
  • Provide governance and assurance over asset data held in the asset management system to ensure it complies with LU Standards.
  • Champion the requirements and process for the handover of asset data to/from projects and maintenance providers, influencing others who are often external to the business, to ensure asset information requirements are met.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on asset condition data capture requirements to Asset Managers.
  • Provide expert levels of guidance and advice on asset life cycles using available data to support the identification of or changes to asset maintenance requirements
  • Drive the business unit in moving to mobile data and work capture for maintenance activities to support Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and monitor delivery of plans developed with project and maintenance teams for the handover of asset data, escalating concerns as appropriate.
  • Support Maintenance Schedulers and stakeholders to prepare maintenance data associated with new or modified assets (e.g. Maintenance Regimes, Standard Jobs, Work Groups) to ensure compliant maintenance regimes are established.
  • Actively manage the change process ensuring asset data is accurate in order to optimise maintenance delivery by avoiding incorrect scheduling of work and/or activities

Knowledge

  • Technical knowledge of Asset Management systems and data structures
  • Knowledge of the requirement and operation of Ellipse and/or Maximo
  • Knowledge of business processes and requirements embedded within the asset management systems (Ellipse and /or Maximo)
  • Understanding of asset management and maintenance management principles
  • Understanding of Systems and infrastructure assets
  • Understanding and interpretation of high level strategy and how this relates to improvements in asset systems and data maturity
  • Some understanding of the Pathway process would be beneficial
