Our client, a well-established firm providing comprehensive accounting and financial services to businesses and individuals across various industries is seeking an Accounts Technician to join their expanding team.

As an Accounts Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients and contributing to the success of our clients business.

Your Duties:

• Assist in the preparation and analysis of accounts and financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Perform reconciliations of accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns for clients, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Assist with payroll processing and other related tasks as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using specialised accounting software.
• Provide support to senior accounting staff and collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional service to clients.
• Assist clients with financial reporting and analysis, offering insights and recommendations to support their business objectives.
• Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, addressing their accounting-related inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.

Your Profile:

• Third Level Qualification or Part Qualified in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Professional certification as an Accounting Technician (AAT) or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Proven experience working as an accounting technician or in a similar role, preferably in an accounting firm or corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and taxation laws.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
• Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

• Position: Accounts Technician.
• Location: Lisburn/Belfast.
• Job Type: Full-time, Permanent.
• Salary: £28,000-£32,000 based on experience.
