Description

To work as part of the Just B Children and Young People (CYP) Team in the direct provision of support to children, young people and Families to play a key role in developing and enhancing the CYP services.

Key Tasks 1.

To work as a key member of the Just B Children and Young People Team to provide an expert service delivered in an ethical and effective manner to meet the objectives and vision of the Just B sub-strategy.

2.


To offer emotional wellbeing and bereavement support to individuals, children and young people and families through face to face work, outreach or an agreed media platform.

3. To take part in group supervision and undertake individual supervision with an allocated practitioner. 4.

To take part in group work programmes to offer a varied and effective service for CYP and adults. 5.

To work collaboratively with other members of the Just B Service, external professionals and organisations to enable the best possible continuity and support for children and young people and adults.

To work as part of the Crisis Response Team, contributing to the provision of short term emergency support to schools or education establishments as required.

7.

To communicate with referral sources and/or other relevant professionals as needed and conduct timely referrals to other agencies for the benefit of the child, young person or family.

To work collaboratively and build partnerships with external organisations and professionals. 9.

To participate in, and provide training events, workshops or presentations to members of the Hospice team, external professionals and organisations.

To play a key role in developing the resources offered to children and young people and professionals through the Just B service.

11.

To maintain records that meet required guidelines, professional standards and standards set by appropriate statutory bodies including the General Data Protection Act.

To support the recruitment and selection process of Just B volunteers and organise and support Just B volunteers referring issues to your Manager as necessary.

13. To develop and maintain knowledge in the relevant field and be responsible for ongoing professional development. 14.


To report all safeguarding concerns in line with policy and to work in a way which safeguards vulnerable children and adults at all times.

15. To contribute to evaluation of the service by using evaluation and measurement tools. 16.


To attend safeguarding meetings and statutory meetings where appropriate and to share information appropriately within the multidisciplinary team for the benefit of the child.
