    Copello Global are now working with a technology based sales organisation who serve both the European and US markets, providing a wide array of high reliability electronic components.

    They are seeking a UK -based Business Development Manager to work across the Northern European markets including: UK, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Demark etc.

    The Business Development Manager needs to be someone coming from a technical background, with the understanding of electronic components and their application in the various market segments. Good commercial experience and knowledge is required.

    The Company have clients in the regions already, but no physical presence, so you will report into the head office (Italy) and operate on a remote basis, working from home and travelling (Fully Expensed) as required.

    Key deliverables:

    • The BDM will interact with both design engineers and procurement / purchasing teams on the customer sites and will work to introduce innovative electronic components and sub-assemblies provided by the business.
    • You will visit customer sites frequently to understand requirements and objectives as well as participate in regional trade fairs and expo's.
    • Build on existing relationships to maintain and grow the existing customer base within the territories.
    • Eventually seek to create new business partnerships and secure new business from other customers in the region.
    • Manage the existing customer base and develop new business opportunities / new customers in UK, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark etc.
    • Provide guidance and sales support to the customers by utilising the technical support provided from the headquarters in Italy.

    Candidate profile:

    • Ideally degree qualified (or similar) in Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualification.
    • Experience in designing electronic boards and/or systems. Alternatively, quality experience in the EEE field or marketing and technical sales experience in the semiconductor/electronics industry.
    • Native and resident in UK
    • Able to build relationships and identify customer needs.
    • Ability to learn quickly with clear communication skills.
    • Ability to collaborate and work well with the wider Sales and technical teams within the company.
    • Full Driving license.
