The Role: We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. This role is crucial in supporting our accounting operations, including transaction processing, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Process invoices, payments, and manage accounts receivable/payable.
Reconcile bank statements and transactions.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
Assist with audits and resolve any discrepancies.
Provide administrative support to the finance department.

Requirements:

Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role.
Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero).
Good organizational and time-management abilities.
AAT qualification or currently studying towards ACCA/CIMA (desirable, but not essential).
Authorization to work in the UK.
