Overview:

We are looking to recruit a sessional tutor to work flexibly between 2-10 hours per week during evenings in the Chiltern and South Buckinghamshire areas.

About us:

Buckinghamshire Adult Learning is part of the Learning, Skills and Prevention Service, whose mission is:

  • to provide inclusive learning opportunities that promote well-being and inspire people living or working in Buckinghamshire to achieve their potential._
We are the main provider of part-time learning opportunities for adults in the county. The Service offers an advertised programme of taught courses and workshops from Entry Level.

We offer qualifications in areas such as English, mathematics and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and a range of apprenticeships.

We offer a wide range of non-accredited courses in creative studies, foreign languages, computing and health and fitness.

Approximately 8,000 learners each year access our programmes in around 140 locations

across the county including dedicated Adult Learning Centres, school premises, community centres and employer premises. Programmes are available daytime, evening and weekends for most of the year. There are courses for parents and carers with their children arranged by the Family Learning team. We work with employers, both large and small, delivering apprenticeships up to Level 5.

About the role:

We also deliver some of our courses online via Google Meet and Google Classroom.

About you:

Applicants must hold an introductory teaching/training award such as City & Guilds PTLLS/Award in Education and Training (or willing to obtain one within 6 months of appointment).
