We have an exciting new leadership opportunity for an experienced Head of Finance to join our EMEA finance organization.

The position will be responsible for the financial oversight of all operations processes, including financial management and reporting, headcount, and capacity, internal systems, and processes.

In turn, this will further enhance and develop the Operations and Execution function within the EMEA Finance Organization.


For this position we are seeking an accomplished Head of Finance with several years of demonstrable experience in developing operational excellence, strong people management skills, and a background in managing international finance operations.


The position will report to the Director of Finance Operations and Execution EMEA and will lead a multicultural team of both direct and dotted line reports.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Reporting directly to the Director of Finance Operations and Execution, the position will have the following responsibilities:


  • Be a people manager and mentor:
- lead a team of Financial Analysts, including both direct and dotted line reports.

Financial leadership:

- take leadership accountability for the finance operations across the EMEA region, including executive reporting, budgeting, and forecasting in alignment with the Company's internal process and procedures.

Budget and forecasting:

- coordinate, partner, and provide financial guidance to the various stakeholders as part of the Operations Leadership Team to develop the monthly project forecast and yearly budget, utilizing existing forecasting systems and according to established timelines.

Operations performances and analytics:


  • Continually monitor business and operations performance, identify variances, and provide management insight into trends, issues, opportunities for improvement, and implementation of predictive analytics.

Capacity and competencies:


  • Support workload, capacity analysis, and competencies assignment to project as an outcome of the monthly forecast and provide guidance on resource optimization.

Monitor, report, and improve:


  • Develop monthly operations deck and key performance indicators (KPI) scorecard in preparation for global functional reviews and drive operational improvements.

Process standardization and excellence:


  • Build a streamlined process that allows quality, accuracy, and access to data harmonized across EMEA and in between global functions and regional functions.

Be flexible:


  • Support special ad hoc analysis as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:


  • Ideally, master's degree educated within a relevant field of finance, accounting, or, a similar field of expertise.
  • Several years of demonstratable success within the Finance, Controlling, and FP&A fields.
  • Previous experience in managing and leading an international team of finance experts to achieve excellence and support the growing needs of the organization.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical reasoning, being able to convey effective and executive communication to all the layers of the organization up to Senior Management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor an international team to drive an inclusive and diverse environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to be well organized, define process improvements and strive for success.
  • Share the Dematic core values of Integrity, Collaboration, Courage, and Excellence with the ability to promote these within the department and uphold the highest of standards.
  • Experience in Project Controlling, working to percentage of completion, and data analytic skills would be useful to the role and strongly reflect our business.
  • Strong proficiency in English is essential to the role.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in SAP, Oracle and MS Power BI is a plus.
