Description

A full time post has arisen within the Administration Community Treatment Team based in the Fairnington Centre at Hexham General Hospital.

The Post holder will have experience of working in similar work environment and previous secretarial experience is essential due to the demands of the role.


The post holder will be working alongside the Administration Team Lead with allocated duties to support the clinical staff and wider service.

A good knowledge of Microsoft packages and typing qualifications is essential for this role.


Working as part of a team to provide an effective and efficient administrative service to our clinical staff, including taking telephone calls, inputting referrals, sending appointment and outcome letters, updating our patient information system, taking notes at meetings and working from a shared team inbox.


The post holder will be able to demonstrate the ability to deal with possible exposure to highly distressing or highly emotional circumstances and will be expected to ensure they participate on all relevant training courses appropriate to the role.


Key skills:


  • Secretarial experience working within a team.
  • Experience in a customer / patient and service user focused environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal Skills
  • A good understanding of the RIO system (not essential as training given to those who have not worked on this system before)
  • A good knowledge of Microsoft word/office packages and typing qualifications
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Minute taking skills
  • Ability to be selfdirected, motivated and be able to contribute positively within a team
  • Well organised and structured
  • The post holder will be expected to demonstrate flexibility in the role
