Business Development Manager

Remote Working (Must be based along M62 corridor e.g., Nottingham, Leeds, Manchester)

£35,000 basic with £50k OTE
Our award winning, national client are currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager their well-established, yet growing organisation.


This is a field-based role requiring in-person face to face client meetings at their offices as well as online video calls, identifying and securing new business and new client opportunities in the workplace, government, and private healthcare sectors, providingservice and product presentations.


Key Duties:


  • Maintain detailed knowledge of the company's products and services.
  • Keep abreast of competitor developments.
  • Work within agreed profitability levels.
  • Ensure company awareness of any customer contractual requirements.
  • Produce formal quotations.
  • Provide customer demonstrations.
  • Record appropriate details within customer resource management software.
  • Attend weekly conference calls and head office team meetings.
  • To adhere to company policies and the Health and Safety and business systems manuals.
  • Raising nonconformances, planned deviations, changes, risks and improvements as required.
  • To participate in any relevant training as required.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports to line Manager.
  • To achieve the targets set by the Company and/or Sales Director.
  • To produce and submit accurate expenses reports on time
  • Adhere to ISO 17025 requirements in relation to sales activities such as quotations and sales.
  • Understanding of how ISO 17025 affects the BDS role.
  • To ensure commitment to impartiality and confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility of information.
  • Adhering to all policy, procedure, regulatory, customer and standard requirements relating to quality, information security and environmental management systems

Skills and Qualifications:


  • A minimum requirement is to be educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Industry experience in the Drug & Alcohol testing marketplace would be desirable but not essential
  • Experience working within a role selling to the NHS and Pharmaceuticals sector would be preferred
  • Good relationship building.
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
  • Competent in the use of CRM systems and keeping client records upto date and fully experienced in the use of the MS office package.

The Offering:


  • 37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday
- £35,000 per annum
- £50,000 OTE
