Client Details
A leading fashion business in Leeds.

The company are going from strength to strength and as a result of internal progression are seeking to add to their Merchandising team.

The business has been around for more than 80 years and are known for their BritishHeritage. The business is known for its internal progression opportunities.

To ensure the right stock is in the right stores at the right time to fulfil customer demand.

To enable stock movement from warehouse to stores, to meet store stock and sales targets through critical path management, timely allocation of new product, commercialmanagement of replenishment of stock and the commercial understanding of store performance to optimise stock and sales at store level.


Description

  • Allocation of new lines to stores based on store allocation guidelines & requirements.
  • Maintenance of the replenishment system to ensure warehouse stock is shared commercially with the stores.
  • Ensuring the correct planning & allocation of stock in accordance with distribution /phasing plans / trading calendar.
  • Identifying and implementing regroups in order to maximise sales and sell though.
  • Liaise with Store Colleagues / Managers / Regional Managers to maximise stores sale potential across all product categories
  • Monitor weekly delivery schedules and ensure stock to stores is planned in line with critical path.
  • Ensure new store opening stock packages are built & released in line with new store opening critical path
  • Plan and implement store stock builds in line with trading calendar.
  • Liaise with the warehouse teams to ensure smooth flow of product from DC to store.
  • Identify best practise and ways of working. Suggest improvements to processes and procedures
  • Start to become involved in store profiling, understanding store ranging and which products to range in which stores.
  • Start to become aware of store space and option planning, working with trading and VM teams to ensure the range is commercial to deliver sales plans but in line with store space and fixtures.
  • Collate information from merchandisers and buyers to assist creating seasonal store plans i.e. distribution /phasing plan
  • Prepare weekly reports for trade meetings and any ad hoc analysis required and contributes to Monday trade meetings, prep for and attend any relevant meetings
  • Attend weekly trade meetings with retail, buyers and merchandise to discuss weeks trade and feedback from stores
  • Review sales performance at store, category and line level. Replenishing stock in the correct quantity to satisfy customer demand, while maintaining store stocks and availability targets
  • Start to contribute to the retail trading calendar to ensure stock is managed through its lifecycle.
  • Building trust and rapport with store managers though sharing information and being proactive to their requirements.
  • Work with retail operations to ensure effective communication to stores
  • Identifying store performance trends, risks and opportunities and providing feedback to the Branch Merchandiser.

Profile

  • Currently a Allocator / Branch Merchandise Assistant / Assistant Branch Merchandiser or Similar
  • Enthusiasm and eagerness to learn.
  • Highly organised with attention to detail.
  • A good level of admin / IT skills, in particular Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and team working skills
