    Job Purpose

    The role of Software Developer is really important to us. You will be responsible for helping us make our business a market leader through improving customer experience and interactions. The successful candidate will have experience in software development, using a range of current technologies and a passion for all things digital.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and ambitious Developer with a hands-on approach to elevate themselves on the next step of their career with a willingness to help shape the future growth of the team.

    We would love to welcome you to our team, working a hybrid role Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.

    Your responsibilities day to day will be...

    • Involved in design and implementation of various software development projects
    • Liaising with key stakeholders on user requirements
    • Applying code quality and risk management standard practices
    • Providing existing software support, including production support
    • Working in the world of connected telematics devices, examples of projects undertaken are customised big data dashboards, through to customer portal solutions to view connected devices or cloud based fille storage/sharing applications.

    Any other considerations

    · Experience as a software developer working across the full product/software lifecycle (design, implementation, testing)

    · Experience in modern architecture, latest open-source technologies and programming e.g. Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, , Python, PHP etc.

    · Experience of delivering iteratively towards an end-goal.

    · Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD), Pair Programming skills and automated testing frameworks.

    · Experience working in an agile environment, where agile and/or lean practices and approaches are applied as a way of working to deliver technology products.

    · Familiarity with software patterns and practices, such as Object-Orientated or Functional programming.

    · Knowledge of architectural patterns and practices, and the ability to make trade-offs.

    · Experience of, or interest in, working with multiple technology stacks and DevOps.

    · Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, SQL Server, and MongoDB.
