    Interior Designer - Mid Level

    (Commercial Workplace D&B)

    £50,000-55,000 p.a.

    Jak is working closely with a front-running workplace fitout company to identify a number of adept and driven professional to fill the Interior Designer position within their dynamic team. The mid-level interior designer role offers a dynamic and stimulating opportunity for a designer seeking to embrace fresh challenges, engage in diverse projects, and play a pivotal role within the company.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate closely with clients and project teams to conceive innovative design concepts for commercial projects of both Cat A and Cat B classifications.
    • Assume ownership of projects, guiding them from design conception to tendering, bidding, or pitching, ensuring successful project delivery.
    • Utilize your expertise in AutoCAD/Revit to translate designs into tangible form, working autonomously with support available from senior designers.
    • Thrive in a high-paced environment, overseeing multiple projects and adeptly resolving on-site design issues.
    • Apply your technical design acumen to ensure adherence to building regulations.
    • Coordinate harmoniously with other trades, including M&E and joinery, to seamlessly integrate their specialized knowledge into the overall design.

    Requirements:

    • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field.
    • Possess 2-4+ years of industry experience, preferably encompassing Design and Build projects or Commercial fit-outs.
    • Exhibit full mastery of AutoCAD.
    • Be proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and the Adobe Suite.
    • Revit proficiency is highly advantageous, though not mandatory.
    • Demonstrate solid technical comprehension and a fundamental grasp of prevailing UK building regulations.
    • Exhibit exceptional communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, project teams, and trades.
    • Showcase a proven capacity to excel in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines while upholding quality.
    • Display confidence in juggling multiple projects concurrently.
    • Possess proactive on-site problem-solving capabilities and a creative mindset.
    • Display familiarity with working alongside other specialties and trades like M&E and joinery.
