This includes Weigh labelling systems and point of sales along with other solutions to help with sustainability and greener ways of selling and also recycling goods in a retail setting.
The role
Reporting to the Operations Manager the Stores Assistant is responsible for controlling the flow of stock through the Stores Environment safely and efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
- Recording any Damaged, missing or faulty goods utilising the correct processes
- Picking materials for Production Orders expeditiously and accurately, utilising handhelds
- Movement of goods to the correct area in the warehouse, either manually or using mechanical handling equipment in a safe manner
- Storing and restacking goods safely, packing away debris to ensure space maximisation
- Picking, packaging and preparing spares orders ready for dispatch and making sure labels are correct
- Preparing crates for finished goods ready for dispatch
- Using an MS Nav, handheld scanner and other technology to record the movement of goods
he Person
Ideally we are seeking someone who has previously worked in a similar warehouse, stores or goods in setting and who has the following skills and experience:
- Experience of working in a stores or warehouse environment where the recording and moving of stock is a large part of the role
- A flexible and positive approach with an ability to multitask within the team as necessary
- Previous experience of booking in stock and using a stock control system would be highly desirable
- Good IT skills
- Happy to work in an environment where you are on your feet a lot of the day and able to work in a physically demanding role where lifting and carrying will be part of the role
Details
This role is offered on a Full-time, permanent basis and the Working hours are 39 hours a week: Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 17:00 and Friday 08:00 - 16:00 (with 1 hour for lunch).

Experience:
- Previous experience in retail sales preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling
- Familiarity with operating a cash register is a plus

£21,600.00 per month
