    The Opportunity

    Vehicle Personalisation (VP) encompasses a range of specialist revenue streams catering to our most discerning customers, providing bespoke individual vehicles, limited editions, and premium exterior coatings.
    This exciting new role will be part of a growing and fast paced team, whose primary objective is to develop a world leading and profitable strategy across vehicle personalisation for all our brands.

    The successful candidate will deliver real impact to both the customer and to JLR through defining clear proposals for delivery by programme management and measuring current business performance to propose improvements, with a clear focus on optimising value for the customer and for the business. The candidate will be able to develop new processes and analyse data to bring structure, insights, and recommendations to the strategy development. They will be analytical, data-driven, with a level of financial awareness, and strong stakeholder management skills, alongside a drive for continuous improvement.

    They'll have the opportunity to help define VP future products and business direction as well as a level of responsibility, autonomy, and exposure to senior leadership. They'll get an insight into the VP business, how it operates, makes decisions, and interacts with the core Jaguar Land Rover business as well as an opportunity to make a positive contribution to the JLR business.

    WHAT TO EXPECT

    The Strategy Analyst is responsible for:

  • Understanding the market, competitor, and customer landscape to support development of the strategy and ensure we are world class in our customer offer and experience
  • Providing data and insights to support continual development of our whole life plan for every brand, working with all strategy teams to ensure enterprise wide planning
  • Coordinating a portfolio of study projects from concept through to cycle plan approval to maximise the value of the customer offering
  • Working with a cross functional team to scope the appropriate programme content to meet customer, technical, attribute, and financial requirements, ensuring we have appropriate resource, funding, and application plans
  • Developing new processes and inputting into the improvement of existing processes to ensure robust, documented and successful delivery of the business unit strategy
  • Supporting the Vehicle Personalisation Strategy Managers as required

    This role is a significantly cross functional role which interacts with an enterprise wide list of stakeholders. The Key relationships are:

  • WHAT YOU WILL NEED

    Essential:

  • Experience of strategic development or operating in a strategic environment with changing assumptions and fluid information
  • Experience working on strategic projects and coordinating a cross functional group of stakeholders
  • Strong business acumen including an ability to interrogate and understand business cases, to understand the wider business requirements and how they influence the Vehicle Personalisation activity
  • Have a strategic mindset, be able to demonstrate an aptitude for thinking around an issue to develop a "big picture" view
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify how one issue can impact on another
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, taking full ownership and responsibility for own work; fully invested in achieving a successful result
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills, including ability to lead a very broad stakeholder network and communicate effectively at all levels
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred / Relevant apprenticeship or equivalent experience preferred.
