NHS Lanarkshire has a comprehensive service for people with eating disorders, and dietitians play a key role. You will join a Tertiary, Multidisciplinary team consisting of nursing, occupational therapy, psychology, psychiatry and dietetics. There are Community Eating Disorder dietitians working with the CMHTs and Psychological Therapy teams. For patients at acute clinical risk the Tertiary Eating Disorder Specialist Service (TESS) offers intensive community treatment. The team is based in Coatbridge. You will join an existing dietetic team of two Advanced Clinical Specialist Dietitians working within the MDT (1.28WTE).
TESS works directly with adults and their families/carers who have severe eating disorders resulting in complex needs. We have adapted criteria for young people (in late adolescence) to promote early intervention.
The service offers innovative treatment to people living in the community wherever possible and is able to offer intensive treatment.
The team has a role to support other tiers of the NHSL Eating Disorder pathway via training, supervision, consultation and joint workingThe team undertakes considerable service development work which the post holder will have the opportunity to contribute to. Regular supervision and CPD opportunities will be available. Line management will be via the service Consultant Clinical Psychologist/team leader.

**This post is 18.5 hours per week 0.5WTE. we operate hybrid working practices and are flexible in how these hours are worked. Applicants must possess a full valid driving licence.
Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job
- Registered Dietitian with valid HCPC Registration
- Educated to/working towards/operating at Masters Level
- Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently.
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality
- Advanced Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality.
- Care experienced applicants are people who live/have lived with foster parents/kinship carers or who live/have lived in a residential children's setting/secure unit.'
