At Travelbag, we make travel a piece of cake. Our knowledgeable experts live and breathe holidays, so they're always on hand with tips and advice, to help our customers discover somewhere new. Whether they want a relaxing week away or a month-long adventure, we've got it covered. We're owned by dnata Travel, part of the Emirates Group.
We are now recruiting for experienced Travel Consultants to join our team of experts at our small but spacious shop on Princess Street in Knutsford.
Ideally you will have experience of selling long haul destinations and tailor-made holidays, but if you only have short haul experience, we'd still love to hear from you. GDS experience would also be an advantage. You need to have exceptional customer service skills, be driven by your passion for travel and motivated to meet and exceed your targets. If you have studied travel and tourism, completed a degree, have travelled to long haul destinations and have great customer service experience – we'd also be interested in your application.
We have a lucrative uncapped commission scheme with average commission of £24K on top of your base salary, however our top performers average £55K in commission
Depending on experience in your 1st Year you can expect a minimum OTE of £35K rising to £39K in Year 2.
Thanks to Travelbag's regular marketing activity, you'll always have plenty of customer enquiries to follow up. And you'll build fantastic relationships with your customers, whether face to face or over the phone, so they come back to you time and time again. Our impressive number of repeat customers is something we're incredibly proud of.
When you join Travelbag, you'll have an initial 3-week interactive training period with our inhouse training team. You'll then join our 'academy' with dedicated support alongside support and coaching from your manager.
You will have lots of opportunities to enhance your product and destination knowledge – including weekly product training from our destination team and supplier hosted events where you can meet others in the industry as well as learn about a product or destination – and there are usually prizes up for grabs
Our Travel Specialists work 37.5 hours per week 5 days over 7, 9am to 5:30pm. Between Monday to Wednesday this is on a shift basis between 9am to 7pm. In peak periods we can be open 9am to 9pm to meet our customer demands.
Hybrid working and part-time hours will be considered, based on experience.
