TEACHER OF TECHNOLOGY (Resistant Materials)

Additional responsibility: KS3 coordinator

MPS/UPS +TLR2a (£3,294)

We require from September a well-qualified, inspirational full-time Teacher of Design & Technology (Resistant Materials) to join a strong and supportive department. The successful candidate will also have the additional responsibility of being the KS3 coordinator. The department has a number of well-resourced teaching environments and benefits from the support of knowledgeable technicians.

Qualifications

Essential:

Graduate

Qualified Teacher Status Desirable:

Good honours degree

Further professional studies related to management and/or education

Previous experience

Essential:

Successful teaching experience across the ability range

Successful teaching experience across all key stages Desirable:

Experience within a comprehensive school

Recent and relevant INSET

Ability to teach A Level

Professional competence

Essential:

Knowledge of National Curriculum

Strong knowledge of subject

Ability to use a range of teaching strategies

Relevant training including health & safety training

Personal qualities

Essential:

Enthusiastic and able to inspire and motivate students

Good interpersonal skills

Good health

Ability to work well in a team

A willingness to engage in all aspects of school life
