The Department of Engineering and Maths brings together a wide range of courses in engineering, mathematics and technology, all regularly updated and accredited with professional institutions.

We work in partnership with a number of leading organisations including AMEY, Kimberly Clark, JCB and Network Rail.

Research and Innovation in the Department has a long history in Materials Engineering, aligning with UKRI priority areas of Manufacturing the Future, Digital Health, and AI/Robotics.

We are looking for a Principal Lecturer to lead the department's student recruitment plan for all business streams (UG, PG, CPD, apprenticeships) and contribute to the leadership of the wider College of Business, Technology and Engineering marketing, recruitment and communication strategies.

Working closely with the Dean, Head of Student Recruitment, Head of Department and other department Recruitment PLs, you will lead on the delivery of recruitment targets and objectives derived from the College business plan.

Among the experience and skills you'll need are:

Significant experience of teaching at both UG and PG level in a discipline relevant to the department
Evidence of scholarly activity, researchinformed teaching or practiceinformed teaching
Ability to develop and implement business critical strategies
Excellent people management skills including the ability to establish good working relationships and to influence and lead effectively
Experience of recruitment and outreach activities, such as open days and presenting externally to interested parties
