    The Horticulture Teacher is responsible for developing and implementing hands-on gardening and plant care curriculum for students at our MLD school.

    This is a full-time teaching position requiring planning all lessons, activities, and demonstrations independently.

    The school are looking for an Horticulture Teacher to support their students to learn about planets and the outdoors to thrive in the environment.

    Being able to support children with SEND needs to learn about horticultural environments and give individuals a sense of belonging and focus.

    Duties and Responsibilities of a

    Horticulture Teacher:

    • Design engaging daily lesson plans for students to learn horticulture skills like sowing, planting, watering, weeding, composting, pruning, pest management, etc.
    • Set up and maintain garden beds, greenhouse, and all growing areas.
    • Teach students how to identify common plants and vegetables, understand their optimal growing conditions, and harvest produce.
    • Instruct students on techniques for propagating, pruning, and caring for plants in an indoor classroom nursery during offseason months.
    • Collaborate with cafeteria staff to incorporate produce grown by students into school meals.
    • Participate in regular professional development to continue enhancing horticulture and teaching practices.
    Requirements of a

    Horticulture Teacher:

    • Extensive knowledge of plant care, gardening, and landscaping
    • Creative selfstarter able to plan curriculum and lessons independently

    Contract :
    Long Term to Permanent Role Available
    Hours : 8:30 till 4:30 - Monday to Friday
    APRIL or ASAP START DATE
