Description
BRUSH is seeking a Business Systems / Applications Specialist working within the Applications Team.


They will also Document the scope and rules applicable to those systems and provide a consistent approach to support the systems' integrity - acting as the advisor and custodian of the process quality & standards throughout, working closely with stakeholdersto deliver customer satisfaction.


Main Responsibilities

TECHNICAL OWNERSHIP

  • Create and drive data strategy to support system reporting requirements
  • Support hypercare activities as/when required
GOVERNANCE/DOCUMENTATION

  • Ensure the scope of the Application/System is clearly documented
  • Ensure the technical developments of the Application/System are clearly documented
  • Ensure the documentation is up to date with changes being reflected in the documentation

CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENTS

  • Ensure contractual requirements are being adhered to (including renewal of licensing)

PROCESS CONTROLS

  • Ensure the Management of Change process is being adhered to
  • Ensure the appropriate levels of controls are in place and being communicated ahead of the Solution being deployed
  • Ensure the controls are being adhered to; through clear communication with the Team and business stakeholders

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Ensure a clear Business Case / Requirements have been documented
  • Ensure all Application/System developmentsenhancements follow the Lean Six-Sigma & System implementation project cycles
  • Define
- (process)

  • Design
- (functional specification)

  • Build
- (technical test plan)

  • Test
- (test strategy, test scenarios & scripts, training materials, end-user training - defect fixes)

  • Launch(cutover plan & hypercare plan; strategy for reporting defects)
  • Ensure there is a clear signoff at the end of each phase / stage gate
  • Ensure all risks are clearly documented and escalated as part of the project cycle.

BUSINESS ENGAGEMENT AND COLLABORATION

  • Define
clear lines of communication and engage with the Business accordingly

  • Support functional and crossfunctional workshops to drive process adoption and process adherence
  • Collaborate with the business partners to provide guidance and establish best practice.
  • Support ongoing Business Processes activities, in line with the strategy

Person Specification

Qualifications:


  • SQL programming and server administration
  • ERP System Administration (Sage X3 desirable)
  • Microsoft Power Platform skills (SharePoint Sites/Power Automate/Power Apps/Power BI)


  • Data architecture

  • Report writing (Crystal Reports/Business Intelligence)
  • Change Management; manage & enable the change management across all Stakeholders
  • Experience in documenting processes, specifications, policies, standards
  • Experience of leading workshops, data collation, validation and confirming requirements
  • Experience of leading process change with a proactive approach to developing and enhancing business processes

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong Project Management skills, delivering to time & cost
  • Experience of LEAN practices Leadership skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Stakeholder management skills, including ability to influence and solve conflicts
  • Ability to work effectively within both onsite and remote teams
  • Ability to manage upwards clearly articulating areas of support and concerns
