    Maintenance Manager

    50, per annum (depending on skills and abilities)

    Permanent opportunity in Wrexham.

    Working hours are Monday to Friday - 08:00-16:00.

    The role:
    Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the technical management, supervision and control of the industrial process within a Wrexham based recycling facility.
    With support from the Maintenance Supervisor and Process Engineer you will coordinate all maintenance activities, ensuring that the processes are run safely, reliably and efficiently. The role will be a mixture of maintenance and employee management.

    Responsibilities of the Maintenance Manager:
    Take responsibility for the selection and maintenance of all equipment on site.
    Oversee scheduled and unplanned maintenance.
    Manage cost & budgets for maintenance including staffing and resource usage.
    Collate and analyse data related to maintenance activities.
    Assess project & resource requirements.
    Supervise and engage direct reports and support them doing the same with their teams.
    Set goals and review performance of direct reports and support them doing the same with their teams.
    Liaise with colleagues to ensure training is given where required.
    Work with colleagues to set & achieve company targets.
    Contribute to the strategic planning, implementation and management activities of the plant.
    Collaboration across the recycling business unit.

    The Candidate:
    The successfully appointed Maintenance Manager will have the following skills and abilities:

    • Demonstrable experience in people management.
    • Time served or educated with an ONC / HNC / City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or similar).
    • Experience of working within a heavy industrial, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
    • Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Good basic numeracy and IT skills.
