- Optimise data architecture and performance to ensure efficient data processing and storage.
- Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions to enhance our data infrastructure.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on designing and implementing data solutions within the Azure Cloud environment.
- Expertise in Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics (formerly SQL Data Warehouse).
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, SQL, and/or Scala.
- Experience working within the financial services sector is highly desirable, with exposure to Credit Reference Agency (CRA) data considered a significant advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in a team environment.
