    Our client is a globally recognised recycling company who are seeking multiple proactive Yard Operatives to join their team. As a Yard Operative, you will play a crucial part in the efficient operation of the site, ensuring the smooth separation of materials and supporting their commitment to responsible recycling practices.

    Hours: Rotational shifts of Monday – Friday am to 14.00 pm and 14.00 pm to 22.00 pm)

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines as outlined in the Code of Conduct and Health and Safety SOPs, to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
    • Material Handling: Safely and efficiently handle incoming and outgoing materials, including sorting, stacking, and categorising materials
    • Equipment Operation: Operate various yard equipment when required
    • Quality Control: Conduct inspections to ensure that materials meet quality standards of the Site Manager and are properly sorted for recycling, and to ensure maximal profitability for the company
    • Yard Maintenance: Assist in general yard maintenance tasks, including cleaning, sweeping, and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the yard
    • Adaptable Working: You will aid other areas of the site when required
    The Ideal Candidate:
    • Previous experience in a similar role within the recycling or manufacturing industry is preferred but not required
    • Exceptional organisational and coordination skills
    • Ability to operate yard equipment such as forklifts is highly beneficial
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control standards
    • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to work effectively as part of a team but also be self-motivated and able to work independently too
    • Able to lift heavy objects with the nature of the role
    • A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the company
    • Drivers License and access to own vehicle as minimal public transport nearby
