Job description:

Join us as a Strategic Finance Partner, Asset Management

  • For someone with strong stakeholder management skills and strategic awareness, this is a chance to provide support and challenge to the Asset Management Centre of Excellence (CoE) in achieving its strategic goals
  • You'll be developing, shaping and influencing the strategic direction of the business and providing high quality strategic advice and insight to support decision making
  • This challenging and rewarding role offers significant exposure and the opportunity to raise your profile across the bank
  • We're offering this role for a period of 12 months

What you'll do:


Your other key responsibilities will include:

  • Working with our Finance centres of excellence to provide strategic SME advice supported by specific financial plans, forecasts, stress testing and customer, market or segment analysis
  • Proactively influencing to make sure cost and capital management leadership is present within the franchise
  • Overseeing strategic finance activities including product overlays for plan, forecast, stress scenarios
  • Delivering critical review and challenge to make sure that resources are optimally presented in investment decisions and business cases
  • Driving all business finance requirements, including month end requirements, strategic planning, functional reporting requirements and ensuring the timely escalation of issues

The skills you'll need:


Asset management experience with investment product and market segment knowledge is key for this role, and ideally you'll have accounting or finance knowledge.


You'll also demonstrate:

  • The ability to deal with ambiguity, uncertainty and risk and work in a flexible environment
  • Strong finance functional and accounting knowledge
  • The ability to partner closely with senior leaders and their teams, delivering high quality insight to drive strategic change
