    Job Description

    As the Safeguarding Healthcare & Policy Subject Matter Expert (SME), you'll ensure compliant delivery of security services while upholding product deliverables and financial performance at contract levels.

    Your role extends to serving as the operational safeguarding expert advisor, overseeing policies and processes across ISS UK&I's security provision, particularly within healthcare and education sectors.

    Alongside supporting security officer welfare and driving continuous improvement, your focus on value for money and customer satisfaction underscores your commitment to delivering exceptional service.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Own, write and manage the policy and processes for ISS UK that pertain to security in both Mediclean and Facility Services
  • Be the operational expert and lead (in either business) where an applied operational knowledge of managing safeguarding issues is required
  • Champion (alongside both HSEQ and Operations Teams) a safe working environment for all of our placemakers (whilst focusing on Security)
  • Be an Advisor, spending quality time with operational leaders to review their security performance against targets and expected income to fully understand their business and to advise on process and compliance with regards to security and associated services
  • Undertake account reviews with senior contract management and demonstrate continuous improvement in audit and income/profit
  • Champion, with the support of the site management teams, the introduction, use of and ongoing development of the ServiceTrac and Synapse systems
  • Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • An operational career in safeguarding
  • Demonstrable ability to write complex policy and process in a security environment
  • Commercial and financial awareness in a client environment
  • Experience interfacing at all levels throughout an organisation
  • PC literate – understanding of how to use technology as a tool
  • Communication and presentation skills of high level
  • Ability to influence and hold a position in a debate
  • Good team player and Manager
  • Able to command credibility and be able to influence
  • Understanding of profit and loss and sales effect on it
