    Job summaryJoin the team at Ty Einon Centre as a Consultant Psychiatrist as we develop services within the Eating Disorder Service.

    You will be joining a very experienced, multi-disciplinary team of nurses, psychotherapists, psychologists, dietitians, occupational therapists and medical staff.

    Although, you will be part of the Adult Eating Disorder Team, you will work closely with colleagues in Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, Adult Primary and Adult Community Mental Health Teams to ensure that individuals experience a seamless and co-ordinated approach to their care.

    Interested individuals will also be enthusiastic, motivated and committed to driving forwards the continued development of the Specialist Eating Disorder Service.

    You will have overall clinical responsibility for the management of this client group overseeing the Care and Treatment Plans, delegating responsibility and working with the multidisciplinary team.

    Main duties of the jobAccepting this role would see you join this experienced Mental Health community service to provide care for adults with eating disorders.

    You will focus on early intervention and equipping people with the appropriate skills for community living.

    You'll have access to excellent CPD with our own medical education centre based on the Cefn Coed Hospital site in Swansea as well as an education centre in Neath Port Talbot Hospital.

    As well as reaching the top of the Consultant pay scale within 6 years, you will also be entitled to a commitment award every 3 years, after reaching the top of the pay scale, up to a maximum of 26,672 per annum.

    Currently, until 31st March 2025, Consultants appointed on the first three points of the Consultant pay scale also receive Wales annual recruitment incentive payments.

    Qualifications

    EssentialOn Specialist Register with GMC as a specialist in Adult Psychiatry or eligible for CCT within 6 monthsDesirableFurther relevant degree/diplomateaching qualification / higher qualification in medical education
