    Description
    We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join my clients expanding sales team.

    As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and driving revenue growth.

    My client is a privately owned business who supply technical and innovative products to the automotive and other industrial markets.

    This role is to focus on the Aerospace industry, selling our products to this sector across Europe.

    You will be currently selling engineered components, concepts, services and/or solutions into aerospace or military sectors


    Responsible for the initial call right the way through the sales cycle to the closing of the business, then the on-going development of the accounts.

    Responsible for negotiation of pricing, payment terms, surcharge agreements, long term supply agreements and non-disclosure agreements.


    • The role will be split 90% new business and 10% developing and account managing existing business
    • The role will entail European and occasional global travel.
    • Maintaining and exceeding sales performance relative to sales targets.
    • Identifying revenue/sales opportunities to maximise business growth.
    • Lead on aspects of the sales process, pitching complex technical and commercial proposals to potential and existing customers.
    • Experience of selling to the Aerospace industry, understands the industry and may have spent time working with either an SME or a Global business, but specialises with the Aerospace market. You have a demonstrably record of finding, developing, and closing new business opportunities within this market sector, this is what you excel at.
    • A mechanical engineering qualification is an advantage but not essential.
    • Commercially astute, entrepreneurial, and numerate, with a proven and successful record of accomplishment in identifying, negotiating, and closing new business.
    • A solid background of time spent as a business development manager.
    • An additional European language could be an advantage but not essential.


    This role can be remotely based however, we would expect regular visibility on site at out head office in the north of England.
