**Full time (35 hours per week)

The School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences is seeking to recruit a new full time, open-ended School Operations Assistant.

**The Opportunity: Reporting to the Business Improvements Manager - Operations, the postholder will work as part of the School Operations team to provide a professional and high level of administrative service and professional advice to PPLS Staff, Students and Visitors.


The post holder will join a close-knit School team of 7.5FTE, which form an integral party to the school's professional service function.

The role shall be based within 7 George Square (Central Campus). This post is based full time on campus.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Vocational qualifications (N/SVQ 2/3, ONC or equivalent) plus typically 1 year's relevant work experience or School education to Standard Grade or equivalent plus typically 2 years' relevant work experience
  • Working knowledge of relevant systems, including Microsoft Office and Outlook, equipment, processes and procedures including standard software packages and possibly some knowledge of nonstandard software.
  • A strongly developed sense of service delivery and a customer/student focused approach
  • Competent written and oral communication skills. Competent numeracy and literacy skills.
