Team Leader - Children's service


Locations:
Fordhouses, Wolverhampton


Make a difference to Children in our Care: Do you have your Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare, and looking for a new challenge in a small Children's home due to open imminently, if so, we have the role for you.

Our home (opening soon) in Wolverhampton is a Children's residential home in the local community supporting upto two Children/young people in an independent living environment.

Salary: £26,000 to £28,000:

Sleep ins paid at £60 with a potential of earning £30,320 - £32,320 if you completed an average of 6 sleeps ins a month:


  • £1000 refer a friend scheme (paid on completion of their probation)

Hours:
Average 40 hours per week (1 on, 2 off day rota)

Job Summary:

As the
Team Leader for the Childrens Home, some of your duties will be:

  • Working with the Management team to ensure that systems and standards are maintained at a high quality level.
  • You will be nominated daily shift lead, by planning organising and ensuring completion of team duties for the day and handover to oncoming shifts.
  • You must be able to motivate, support and guidance for staff on duty, on all shifts. Provide Staff supervision and appraisals.
  • To provide on call support for staff, from home on a rota basis.
  • Organising rotas and ensuring correct deployment of staff team
  • To actively promote and take part in social, leisure, educational, life skills, holidays and other activities with children and young people.
  • To support each young person to maintain a high standard of personal care; including intimate care, personal hygiene, health and sexual health needs and awareness and any mobility support that is needed.
  • To support the medical health needs of children and young people, inclusive of medication administration, medical appointments and therapeutic and mental health and wellbeing needs
    .

    (Essential):

    must hold a Diploma
    Level 3 in diploma for residential childcare or equivalent
