- £70-80k Head of Debt 6-month FTC


About Our Client:

An insurance company that helps newcomers who move to the UK get a fairer deal on their car insurance.

This is done through building of technology, developing pricing and fraud models that let the company cater to their unique experiences, and investing time in getting to know them on a deeper level.


  • Map, and improve the arrears process when customers fail to pay on time (~25k customers per month)
  • Map, and improve the process for chasing customers when they owe us money
  • Map, and improve the process for chasing or selling aged debt from an operational perspective
  • Assess the skills, culture and seniority of the teams and recommend org changes
  • Support data initiatives to improve the reporting of each of these problems
  • Support technologyled initiatives to streamline each of these processes
  • Report findings to senior leaders
  • Two operational teams (arrears team of 9, debt chasing team of 6)
  • Analytical support & technology support provided outside of the teams

The Successful Applicant:


  • 7+ years of operational experience, the majority of which supporting arrears or debt chasing in a regulatory environment
  • You have a proven ability to work strategically but are also able to get deep into the detail
  • Innovative and bold; you're excited by Marshmallow's plans to disrupt the insurance industry for the better
  • Solutions driven; you have high expectations and hold yourself accountable for delivering a worldclass customer experience
  • Outcomefocused; you want to maximise impact through implementing a techdriven approach
  • You enjoy problemsolving and creating innovative solutions to complex problems
  • You empower your direct and indirect reports to work autonomously, promoting an environment of progression and inclusive change
  • Must have experience managing a team.
  • Must have experience in control OR debt collection and be able to work in a high volume team.
