EHS Advisor

Can you take accountability for EHS projects, and do you have the ability to make change?

Our EHS team is small, you won't just be a number, you'll take lead of projects, manage systems, and in tandem with the EHS Manager, will develop EHS objectives for the site.
You'll be working for
Saint-Gobain PAM at our Holwell site in Melton Mowbray. PAM's Holwell site is where our range of access covers and gratings are manufactured and assembled.

This is a foundry.

It's heavy engineering, it's not a clean and tidy environment, you'll be on the shop floor interacting with your colleagues; this can bring its challenges, which we believe add another dynamic to a key role within our business.


  • Please note, there is potential for this role to be worked on a hybrid basis._

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


Our EHS Advisor will support the leadership team on all EHS requirements of the site, in accordance with legislative and Saint-Gobain Standards.

You will promote a culture of continuous improvement that focuses on safety compliance and reducing waste, energy and water usage.

Some of the duties you have, will include;

  • Work with site management team and EHS Manager to develop the EHS objectives for the site, including improvement plans and projects
  • Lead the Environmental Pillar for the site
  • Develop and implement an EMS for the site
  • Be the WAMITAB lead for the site ensuring site compliance
  • Monitor and ensure site emissions (PCME) compliance
  • Lead the management of Environmental auditing activity for the site
  • Lead the development, implementation and sustainability of environmental policies and standards for SG PAM UK, such as ISO 14001 / 5000
  • Liaise with external bodies (HSE, Environment Agency, Local Council etc.)

For this role in particular we are looking for someone with the following skills and experience;

  • Strong Environment and Health & Safety knowledge (gained in a similar role, for at least 1 year)
  • In depth knowledge of EMS, and ISO45001 / 14001 / 50001 standards
  • Strong communication and influencing skills both internal and external, due to the relationships held
  • Strong organising and planning skills
  • NEBOSH Certificate (and any other related qualifications would suit)
  • Knowledge of WAMITAB would be highly advantageous
  • Ideally heavy industry with large energy usage experience, however we're open when it comes to sector
  • Energy reduction and conservation experience
  • Experience of Root cause analysis
