Financial Controller | Not for Profit | Northamptonshire | £35,000 - £43,000

Macildowie are very excited to be collaborating with a Not for Profit based in Northamptonshire, who are seeking to appoint a Permanent Financial Controller to join the organisation.

It's a friendly team to join at a charity which does fantastic work inthe community.

Reporting in to the charity director you will play an integral role in affecting this organisation at a strategic level.

This role is offering £35,000 - £43,000 and flexible working. They are looking for an individual who can manage investments, legacy fundingand ideally have a charity background.

The role

To lead on the production of the annual accounts along with related audit activities, ensuring routine processes
Manage 1 Finance Assistant
Progress charity accounting processes, including month end accounts finalisation and full balance sheet reconciliation.
Preparation and presentation of regular performance monitoring reports to the charity trustee and subcommittee meetings highlighting the key issues for note and action
Lead on the preparation of annual budgets both for income and expenditure and provide support in seeking trustee sign off.
Lead on the monitoring of both fundraising and charity operating costs.
Ensure effective day to day operation of the Charity Accounting system, implement system enhancements as available to meet the Charity requirements.
To maintain up to date knowledge of financial procedures in respect of the specific requirements associated with charity legislation.
