    This is an exciting opportunity to help accelerate that growth further.

    The Business Development Manager will work with the Managing Director and Head of Research to refine our growth strategy, build the toolkit needed to deliver it and then take the lead in executing it.

    The focus of this role will be on developing good quality leads over time, rather than simply a high volume of leads.

    We are a flexible employer and open to different working practices for this role - remote, hybrid, office-based, full-time, part-time etc.

    The role:
    1.

    Help refine our growth strategyQuickly pick up a deep understanding of our business, proposition, offer, capabilities, team and clientsWork with the MD and Head of Research to identify the most fertile areas for growth and a plan for generating leads in each of themIdentify the tools and systems we should have in place to execute the strategy2.

    Lead execution of the growth strategy, with a focus on the top of the funnelBuild a toolkit to support business development (CRM, market intelligence etc.)Identify a list of potential clientsGenerate leadsBuild initial relationships, deliver creds, identify needs, secure briefsSupport the research team on managing larger pitches and procurement processes3.

    MarketingOwn the Flume social media presence and ensure delivery of the marketing content developed by the wider teamWhere relevant, represent the agency at industry and client eventsOur ideal candidate:

    Experience in a business development role in a marketing services role, ideally with market research exposureConfident, charismatic and credible when dealing with clients and prospects, able to quickly build rapport with people at all levels of seniority both within the agency and outsideOrganised and self-driven – able to work to a plan, log activity and efficiently maintain a CRM system.
