Strategic Guidance:
Provide strategic advice and recommendations to the Board on matters related to Primary Care, and organisational development


Strategic Planning:

Assist the Board in developing and implementing strategic plans, goals, and objectives aligned with the organisation's mission and vision.


Knowledge of Federated GP Models:
Possess familiarity with federated models of healthcare delivery and experience working within or alongside GP Federations, and Primary Care Networks


Relationship Building:

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with board members, senior executives, stakeholders, and external partners to facilitate collaboration and informed decision-making.


Health Inequalities and Equity:

Awareness of health inequalities and social determinants of health, along with strategies to address disparities in healthcare access and outcomes, is essential for promoting health equity and inclusive healthcare services.


Health Policy and System Transformation:
Understanding National Health policies, NHS reforms, and system transformation agendas, such as the integration of health and social care, digital health initiatives, and value-based care models, is crucial for informing strategic decision-making and advocacy efforts


Policy Analysis:
Analyse and evaluate proposed policies, initiatives, and strategies to assess their potential impact on the organisation and advise the board accordingly


Expert Consultation:

Offer expert consultation and insights on complex issues, trends, and developments in the healthcare industry, Public Health policies, and Primary Care practices.


Data Analytics and Performance Management:
Proficiency in data analytics, performance management, and outcomes measurement is beneficial for evaluating the effectiveness of healthcare services, identifying areas for improvement, and driving evidence-based decision-making


Risk Management:
Identify potential risks, challenges, and opportunities facing the organisation and provide recommendations for mitigating risks and maximising opportunities


Board Meeting Participation:
Attend monthly Board meetings to present reports, updates, and recommendations, and actively contribute to discussions and decision-making processes


Continuous Improvement:

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of board decisions and initiatives, identify areas for improvement and recommend strategies for enhancing organisational performance and governance.
