Saturday and Sunday 7.30am - 2.30pm
As a Housekeeper you will work towards providing a clean and safe environment in which a high standard of patient care can be delivered.
You will be working in a busy environment and you will be required to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
The Transplant Unit is a busy 34 bedded unit which comprises of two wards and includes a High dependency Unit.
Please note for the weekend post you will need to be available initially on weekdays for the training period

- Keep clinical areas clean and tidy and maintain a safe, pleasant environment. Ensure patient tables are kept clear for the serving of meals.
- To be responsible for clearing rooms once the patient has been discharged or transferred, liaise with ISS regarding cleaning of the room and prepare the room for the next patient.
- Assist nursing staff in the moving of patients to other rooms or wards.
- Assist nursing staff in the moving of patients to other rooms or wards.
- To be involved with the ward cleanliness audit and attend designated meetings. To be health and safety aware of the environment, report any risks and check that work has been carried out.
- To carry out any designated duties for patients as requested e.g. shopping, washing of clothes etc.
- Assist in the restocking of supplies and ensure all store rooms are tidy and clutter free.
- Carry out tasks in delivering and supporting as directed by a registered nurse.
