    About the Role

    We are seeking to recruit an experienced Co-ordination officer to provide high quality personal assistant services as well as finance, administrative and project support directly to the Directors in City Development.

    Your role will be to provide direct support to two of the Council's senior management team working at the heart of the organisation.

    You will support and influence all aspects of the Director's workload and busy schedule. This will involve close liaison with senior officers, Councillors, Commissioners together with other public and private sector partners and other stakeholders. The role sits within a fast-paced service and requires an individual who is flexible and creative in their approach, forward thinking and can multi-task and deliver within timescales.

    The role will entail:

  • To manage finance and ordering for the Directorate to include ordering, receiving, checking and approving for payment, goods and services on behalf of the Council
  • Providing a comprehensive, high quality, confidential executive support service
  • Effective, proactive diary management, including ensuring any preparation and support required for appointments, meetings and events created
  • Ensuring the effective management of emails by assisting in the prioritisation and organisation of incoming mail
  • Exercising independent judgement and initiative in relation to managing your own workload, to resolve issues as they arise and be able to identify and delegate matters of urgency to appropriate employees
  • Preparing documents to a high standard using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook)You will be a dynamic person with a positive ethos and a commitment to providing an excellent service. Attention to detail and the ability to problem solve at pace is essential. You will work as part of a small team and be required to use your own initiative with minimum supervision.
